จุดเน้นของโรงเรียน

 

 

“Educating Our Students to Become Creative Thinkers.”

Kindergarten (Kindergarten 1-3)

A place where children discover a love of learning and speaking while emphasizing psychomotor skills development. SWS provides a fun, nurturing environment where children can grow physically, socially and emotionally while developing their English speaking ability and good character, and independence. The school advocates that children are an extremely valuable resource to the country and that growth, learning and development should begin in the right place and at the right time.

Primary Education Level (Grades 1-3)

A place where children develop their skills in thinking and speaking. SWS develops thinking skills among students by:

1. Teaching information processing skills to enable them to locate and collect relevant information, to sort, classify, sequence, compare and to analyze;

2. Harnessing reasoning skills to enable them to give reasons and opinions, to draw inferences, to use precise language, to explain what they think, to make judgments and well-informed decisions based on reasoning and evidences;

3. Cultivating enquiry skills to enable them to ask relevant questions, to pose and define problems, to plan what to do and how to research, how to predict outcomes and anticipate responses and also to test conclusions and improve ideas.

4. Ingraining evaluation skills to enable them to evaluate, to judge the value of what they read, hear, and do; to formulate ideas and develop confidence in their own judgments.

Intermediate Education Level (Grades 4-6)

A place where children harness their critical thinking. SWR continues to develop the basic skills mastered in the lower grades among students while acquiring facets of understanding to be able to:

1. Explain sophisticated and apt theories which provide knowledgeable and justified accounts of events, actions, and ideas;

2. Apply knowledge effectively in new situations and diverse contexts;

3. Interpret narratives, figures and data that provide meaning;

4. Exhibit perspective by presenting critical and insightful points of view;

5. Show empathy by getting inside another person’s feelings and worldview;

6. Display self-knowledge by recognizing their own intellectual style, strengths, and weaknesses.

Lower Secondary Education Level (Grades 7-9)

A place where students become analytical and critical thinkers by:

SWR continues to emphasize the development of basic skills acquired in lower grades by:

1. Cultivating analytical and critical thinking skills among students to enable them to generate and extend ideas, to suggest hypotheses, to apply imagination and to look for alternative innovative outcomes through research projects;

2. Emphasizing a rigorous standard-based educational program that stresses problem solving and effective communication skills;

3. Promoting respect for peers, authority and country.

Upper Secondary Education Level (Grades 10-12)

A place where students become creative thinkers. SWR continues to emphasize the development of students’ basic skills acquired in lower levels while molding them to become creative thinkers with the ability to:

1. Apply knowledge to real life situations;

2. Solve problems through conducting investigation and research;

3. Think positively about beliefs, expected outcomes and personal motives in dealing with themselves and with others enabling them to live by ethical standards;

4. Communicate effectively by conveying ideas precisely and listening attentively to grasp the main thoughts of the discussion;

5. Manage stress well by seeing problems as challenges;

6. Establish strong family ties with parents, siblings and other family members;

7. Develop healthy relationships among peers, school authority and community leaders.
